The Franciscan monastery next to the pilgrimage church of Máriagyűd was built in the Baroque style, from the donations of the congregants and the support of the Batthyány family. In 2003, the Bishopric of Pécs renovated and converted the monastery into a pilgrim hostel centre. There is a dining room on the ground floor, which seats 50 people; the first and second floors provide accommodation for 34 people in 17 rooms, in the 2-star tourist accommodation category.
Capacity:
Beds: 34 people; upon request, we can provide extra mattresses
Capacity of each room:
1st floor: 7 rooms of 2 beds in each (with en-suite bathroom, toilet at the end of the corridor)
2nd floor: 10 rooms of 2 beds in each (with en-suite bathroom, toilet at the end of the corridor)
