Be our guest! Take a look at the rich touristic sights of the Bishopric and „make your heart happy” by a wine tasting.
Roam the Pannon Wineregion and taste the Bishopric Hatchment Wines selected from the territory of Villány, Pécs, Szekszárd and Tolna. Each type of wine is the winner of its own category chosen by blindtasting. The wines are presented by a sommelier in the pristine and renewed cellar of the bishopric granary.
The grape and the wine are ancient symbols of the human cultures which were sanctified by Christ who called himself the vine-stock and his followers the wine-spur. The sacramental identification of the wine with the blood of Jesus created a strong cultural tradition.
Join this tradition: present your family, friends or yourself with a wine tasting in this special mood.
It is possible to choose tasting of three, four, or five different wines presented by our sommelier. Next to the wines we offer locally baked „pogácsa” (hungarian salty cake) and soda-water. Additionally, a combination of wines assortment or authentic hungarian cold buffet can be found in our repertoire.
For the children arriving with the adults we can offer an alcohol-free option as an alternative for each kind of program.

Practical informations in connection with the wine tastings:
- Please note that the number of the seats are limited because of the formation of the cellar. The tastings are basically standing occasions, except for the tastings followed by catering (authentic and rustic cold buffets).
- The wine tastings take place in an authentic cellar environment. Please, take warm clothes.
- The venue of the wine tastings is the Granary Visitor Center, which is not a restaurant, it has limited opening hours. The tasting out of the opening hours need a previous agreement, with the fixation of the interval.
- Please, contact us in case of any changes (e.g. number change) or delay, even on the day of the event on phone: +3630-373-8900.
- Wine tasting can be held with a minimum of 10 persons, for options with less participants, please contact us by phone or by e-mail.
